As noted earlier, tonight’s WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event will look and sound different than a regular WWE PLE/weekly broadcast and there’s an unadvertised name who is likely going to be on the show.
Per PWInsider, CM Punk has been spotted in Long Island, the same location as tonight’s WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. Punk is believed to be doing commentary tonight alongside Jesse “The Body” Ventura. Punk, at last night’s Caged Fury Fighting Championships 138 event, jokingly hinted at joining Ventura in the commentary booth for tonight’s WWE broadcast.
This wouldn’t be Punk’s first foray into the world of combat sports commentary. Following his departure from WWE in 2014, Punk briefly pursued a career in MMA, competing in the UFC. However, he also dipped his toes into the commentary pool, lending his voice to Cage Fury Fighting Championships.
Tonight’s Saturday Night’s Main Event is already generating significant interest due to its throwback presentation, harkening back to the golden era of Saturday Night’s Main Event. The news about retro aesthetic, combined with Ventura’s return and the potential for a CM Punk appearance, has helped create an extra buzz for tonight’s broadcast.
