Following last night’s announcement about the former WWE stars returning for the Royal Rumble, there has been speculation that those names were announced ahead of time because there are not enough active women on the main roster to fill a women’s Rumble match. Also, it looks like there’s still plenty of room for unannounced surprises.
Paige took note that she’s been trending on Twitter following last night’s announcements. She tweeted, “Wait I was trending again? I mean, it is January.”
Last August, Paige noted that her neck has been feeling better and she’s been doing more heavy training. She has also indicated that she’s working on trying to get cleared for an in-ring return.
On a live Twitch stream in August, Paige said that if she returns to the ring then she would keep it quiet from everyone because she would want her return to be a surprise. Paige is still under contract with WWE until June. As of today, there are 11 Women’s Royal Rumble spots open.
