After WWE SummerSlam, the company quickly focused on the next Premium Live Event on the schedule, Bash in Berlin.
The main event has yet to be announced for this show on Saturday, August 31, 2024, from the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin, Germany, but it’s expected to be WWE World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER vs. Randy Orton.
The only other matches confirmed thus far for the show are Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens and Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest vs. Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio. More bouts will be added in the coming weeks.
One of those bouts on the docket will be a SummerSlam rematch between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre. Their first bout saw them battle with Seth Rollins as the special guest referee and McIntyre going over.
On this week’s Raw, Punk and McIntyre brawled in a segment, leading to Punk taking McIntyre’s belt away from him and whipping him several times. This led to speculation as to whether the bout will have a stipulation.
That is the case, as Ibou of WrestlePurists reports multiple sources within WWE have noted that a Strap Match between them is planned for Bash in Berlin.
