Over the last few days, there’s been speculation online about what WWE would do with the July 27th episode of NXT as NBC Universal released its broadcast schedule for the Olympics. The USA Network, which airs the weekly NXT program and is under the NBC Universal banner, will also have coverage of the Olympics.
PWinsider.com reports after they reached out to WWE for clarification, they were told this episode of NXT will not air on the USA Network, but rather air on Syfy in the same 8 PM EST timeslot.
As it stands right now, there is no word whether additional episodes could be moved from the USA Network to Syfy because of the Olympics.
Syfy, which is also under the NBC Universal banner, aired SmackDown from 2010 – 2015 before it moved to the USA Network, and then in October 2019, it moved FOX.
