A couple of readers noted to us that there is a story in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter about a potential WWE return for Kelly Kelly (Barbie Blank). The story originated from an interview conducted by WrestlingNews.co last week and the news was later confirmed by Dave Meltzer.
Blank, in regards to a possible return to the WWE, she said that her relationship with them is good and the door is open and used the words “never say never.” She noted that a match with Charlotte Flair would be on her wishlist.
She initially signed with the company back in 2006 and remained there until 2012 when she was released from her contract. Blank decided to return to modeling and heal up a neck injury that had been bothering her. She returned to WWE TV for RAW 25 earlier this year and also participated in the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble match the following week.
Aside from her professional wrestling career, Blank married professional hockey player Sheldon Souray and was a cast member on the reality television show WAGS. After the couple split in October of 2017, her run on WAGS ended as well. Today Blank is working on her acting career while managing her new clothing line.
