As written about here on WrestlingNews.co, AJ Lee has the most voted on a WWE.com poll of names that fans want to see return for the WWE Evolution pay-per-view. That poll doesn’t mean that WWE is considering bringing her back to the company but apparently, there was a rumor reported on her having talks with WWE.
As debunked in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, as of two weeks ago, there was nothing to the AJ Lee rumors and even if WWE wanted to reach out to her it would be difficult because of the bad blood with CM Punk.
Of course, you can never say never in wrestling but in this case, it would seem unlikely that Lee would be part of the show. It seems almost impossible for something to be worked out even after the Punk-Chris Amann case being settled. Keep in mind that Punk believes that WWE funded Amann’s case and that case cost Punk a lot of money in legal fees.
Celeste Bonin (aka Kaitlyn) is still friends with Lee and she said in an interview that she did not think that Lee would go back to WWE. She didn’t say much more than that but the implication is that the situation with Punk would make things difficult.
