In the next few months, there will be several WWE contracts expiring so it will be interesting to see how many of them actually decide to leave. My guess is that most will stay but there is no denying that there are some unhappy wrestlers who hope to land with another promotion like All Elite Wrestling or New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Apparently, there have been some rumors circulating about Asuka’s WWE status since there are rumors suggesting that her contract is set to expire next year.
Asuka is not on the list of names who are expected to leave the company. In fact, as noted on Wrestling Observer Radio by Dave Meltzer, she seems happy with how things are going.
“I’ve heard no rumblings whatsoever of Asuka leaving,” Meltzer said. “I’m under the impression she’s very happy in this country.”
Asuka is a co-holder of the Women’s Tag Team Championship with Kairi Sane. In addition to being in the mix on weekly Raw TV, there are plans for a top match at the TLC pay-per-view next month (click here for news on WWE TLC matches) and there are even bigger plans for Asuka at the Royal Rumble. In regards to Kari Sane, her time in WWE could be coming to an end. Click here for an update on her status and news on which company she could end up working for in 2020.
