In the main event of last night's WWE Tables Ladders and Chairs pay-per-view, a new champion was crowned. Asuka won the SmackDown Live Women's Championship in a TLC match against Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch. This was after interference from Raw Women's Champion Ronda Rousey, who has a history with both Flair and Lynch.
After the event, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio provided some insight into the entire ordeal, including a health update on Flair. Meltzer confirmed that Rousey did not turn heel by assisting Asuka in picking up the title victory. He also said that Charlotte Flair is okay after the TLC match, but did have the wind knocked out of her in a spot where Lynch landed her entire body weight on her.
With the Royal Rumble next month and the Road To WrestleMania finally kicking off, it's likely WWE could be setting up a big match between Lynch and Rousey down the line. Perhaps even Charlotte Flair could be in the mix. More on that spoiler here.
