Since CM Punk signed with FOX to work as a part-time analyst on the weekly television show, WWE Backstage, that airs on Tuesdays, there have been rumors that Punk could be making a return to WWE.
However, months have passed and his return hasn’t happened. Now, WWE is doing a hacker storyline on Friday Night SmackDown. The identity of the hacker is unknown as he has not been revealed.
Fans started speculating even further when WWE aired a brief clip of the hacker, which included words written upside of “do I have everybody’s attention now?.” Of course, this phrase was used by Punk years ago.
A fan on Twitter by the name of Michael Carr pointed out in a recent tweet that Punk has tattoos on his hands and fingers but the hacker doesn’t. Thus, this would seem to decrease the chances of Punk being revealed as the hacker. Of course, it should be noted that this doesn’t rule him out 100% since WWE could always use makeup to cover his tattoos.
Another user showed a photo of Punk where you can see the tattoos on his hands and fingers:
