WWE has still not commented on what exactly kept Daniel Bryan off TV and live events since WrestleMania 35 but there has been plenty of talk about him backstage among wrestlers.
The internal injury report did not list a reason for his absence and it simply said “unlisted” for his injury. This is done when the company wants to prevent word from getting out, which usually happens whenever someone suffers a concussion. They have done this in the past for wrestlers like Sasha Banks and Alexa Bliss.
On Sunday’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that he was not able to get Bryan’s injury confirmed but all signs point to a concussion and that is the word going around backstage in WWE.
The good thing is that he has been cleared and is expected to be on the upcoming European tour. Bryan was originally scheduled to wrestle Kofi Kingston in a rematch for the WWE Championship at the Money In The Bank pay-per-view and he is scheduled to be on SmackDown Live so it would not surprise me if he gets added to the match to make it a Triple Threat with Kevin Owens.
