Several readers have asked us about Dean Ambrose since he was pulled from WrestleMania weekend events. We haven’t heard much from him but now we can provide an update on when you can expect to see him back on WWE television. Unfortunately, it looks like there are a few months left before he is ready to return to action.
Bayley and Seth Rollins were on Kfm Mornings radio show in Capetown, South Africa while on tour with WWE. Among several topics, Rollins was asked about Ambrose’s status.
Rollins said, “Ambrose is injured, yes. I don’t know the whereabouts or the details of his injury but he had some pretty extensive triceps surgery earlier this year, so, he’s definitely still on the mend and rehabbing. He’ll be back and better than ever, you wait, Summertime, maybe late Spring. So somewhere in there I think, whenever that wily guy gets back to normal.”
Towards the end of the interview, they took questions from fans in the studio. One person asked Bayley when WWF made the change to the WWE name. The host, who didn’t seem like much of a wrestling fan brought up “John Cena’s ex” Nikki Bella as a potential tag team partner for Rollins in a match against Bayley and John Cena.
