The Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, IA has announced that The Shield will be part of WWE’s live event on April 22nd.
WWE has been pushing that The Shield appearance on Sunday at Fastlane is just a “one-time” thing but, based on the latest ad, it looks like they will stay together at least until next month. They are advertised to face Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley on 4/22. Of course, the card is subject to change, especially with non-televised events.
For those of you wondering what this means for Ambrose’s status with the company, it basically does not mean much. I asked someone in the company about his contract status and I was told that he has not signed a new deal. The company hopes he will change his mind.
Ambrose’s WWE deal expires towards the end of April.
