Several months ago, when Hulk Hogan said that he would be training to return for one more match at WrestleMania, it seemed unlikely because of his back issues and his age.
Hogan has been training hard and has been working on getting himself into shape so there seemed to be at least a little bit of hope of him getting his retirement match this year.
For what it’s worth, I’ve been told that the people in creative have not heard anything about plans for Hogan at Mania 36 in Tampa. I was also told that there has been no talk on Hogan being cleared by WWE doctors. So, if Hogan ends up appearing at WrestleMania then it will likely not be in a match where he would take bumps.
Hogan and the NWO will be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame during WrestleMania weekend so he will likely appear on the show in some capacity. At the very least he will be there for Hall Of Fame portion of the show where he legends are acknowledged on the stage.
“No one has heard anything about Hulk wrestling on the show,” said one source who is familiar with the creative process.
Hogan has expressed interest in one more WrestleMania match because he wants his final match in a WWE ring. Hogan hasn’t wrestled since his days in TNA several years ago.
