It looks like Jeff Hardy is closer to returning to WWE television after being out of action for several months.
PWInsider is reporting that Jeff is scheduled to be at the Performance Center in Orlando this week so the company can check his progress before they determine when he can make his in-ring return. Jeff hasn’t appeared on WWE television in almost a year due to due a leg injury.
Jeff’s contract with WWE was due to expire on March 1st with his brother Matt. However, the belief is that WWE has added time to his deal because there is a clause in their contracts that allow them to add time to make up for time lost due to injuries. Since Jeff has been out since April of 2019, this could mean that Jeff would not become a free agent until early 2021 if he decides to go elsewhere. His brother Matt is believed to be leaving (possibly to AEW) on March 1st of this year.
Along with his injury, Jeff has also been dealing with his legal issues. He is scheduled to appear in court on April 6 on the day after WrestleMania to deal with the charges stemming from his DUI arrest in October.
