In this week’s Wrestling Observer newsletter, it was noted that Jim Ross’ WWE deal is for him to work 30 to 40 dates. Obviously, that means that he will not be appearing on the weekly shows and he has already said on his website blog that he is not interested in returning on a full-time basis because he does not want to be on the road too much at this stage of his life.
There’s no word on what the plans are for him but he could end up doing stuff for the WWE Network or special appearances at pay-per-views.
Ross was in talks for the WOS Wrestling show on ITV but he backed out around five weeks ago when he got the WWE offer. WWE’s offer was said to be extremely strong and it was hard to turn down especially since the ITV deal only guaranteed him for ten episodes.
