Update on Kairi Sane’s WWE status

It’s been well documented that Kairi Sane is on her way out of WWE.

Pwinsider.com reported that today is the final date for Sane with WWE as she’ll be working the set of Raw TV tapings this afternoon. The company will be taping two episodes of the show for tonight’s episode and then next week’s Raw.

As of this writing, there’s no word yet on how WWE will write Sane off television. As of late, she’s been in a storyline with Raw Women’s Champion Asuka against Women’s Tag Team Champions Bayley and Sasha Banks.

As noted, Sane is finishing up with the company on good terms as she has expressed her desire to return to Japan and live there full-time with her husband as the couple was married earlier this year.

WWE hasn’t announced a match or segment for Sane and Asuka on this show, but the fallout from Extreme Rules involving Asuka and Banks is expected to be addressed. Banks pinned Asuka in their championship match at Extreme Rules when Bayley put on the referee shirt to count the pinfall.

Shortly after reports surfaced that Sane was expected to leave the company, she made her return to television earlier this month.
