Update on plans for WrestleMania and potential Royal Rumble matches

As previously noted, Vince McMahon has made changes to the WrestleMania card. We don’t know what those changes are but Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg, Seth Rollins vs. Triple H and Big Show vs. Shaquille O’Neal are still locked in. The Undertaker is the only other non-regular performer confirmed for the show and it’s expected that whatever he is doing will be set up at the Royal Rumble. Taker is scheduled on this Monday’s Raw from New Orleans.

The word is that the WrestleMania card should be finalized in about two weeks and we should get a clearer picture from the booking of the Royal Rumble.

Regarding the Rumble, based on current storylines, it looks like the following matches could be added to that show: Sheamus & Cesaro vs. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson for the Raw Tag Team Championship, Rich Swann vs. Neville for the Cruiserweight Championship, Alexa Bliss vs. Becky Lynch for the Smackdown Women’s Championship and Dean Ambrose vs. The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship. Nia Jax vs. Sasha Banks is also possible and it’s a four-hour show (plus the pre-show) so they can fit in more matches than in previous years.
