Update on Sonya Deville's future with WWE, what was originally planned for her at SummerSlam

There was an update on Sonya Deville in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

As most of you know, Deville lost to Mandy Rose in a Loser Leaves WWE match at SummerSlam. Per the stipulation, Deville must leave the company. However, it doesn't look like she will be gone forever.

Dave Meltzer noted in the Observer that the Loser Leaves WWE stipulation replaced the Hair stip because Deville's lawyer told her that it wouldn't be a good thing for her to show up in court with her hair cut and she had court dates this week in the case against her stalker/attempted kidnapper.

Meltzer noted that the idea was not to shave her bald but to cut off most of her hair for some sort of acting role.

It was also noted that she's expected back in WWE but it's unknown how long she will be out. For what it's worth, there was a tease in a post-SummerSlam backstage promo that hinted at Deville dropping her name so it's possible that when she returns, she will be using a different name. Using her real name, Daria Berenato, would not be a bad idea.
