An update on how ticket sales are going for the show has surfaced. Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the event is set up for 36,000 and it’s likely that WWE will inflate the number by 10,000 when they announce the attendance during the broadcast.
It was noted that there are about 3,000 tickets left for fans to purchase.
“There are about 3,000 tickets left, so 33,000 total and probably more than 30,000 paid still has to be considered very good.”
What’s notable is the fact that the secondary market doesn’t have a big demand for tickets and is well below than previous Royal Rumble events as fans can get in at the price of $38.94. This is low for the second biggest event of the year for the company.
