Following the releases by WWE of Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, many fans have expressed interest in where these stars will go next.
Since the company publicly announced their release, Anderson has been hyping the return of his Machine Gun character. Gallows has gone back to his Doc Gallows ring name.
Anderson has also been putting up various tweets about bullets being shot which has led to fans thinking this might be a hint at a return to the Bullet Club, a top faction in NJPW.
There was a feeling among fans that they could make a return to New Japan Pro Wrestling or sign with AEW. It should be noted that they are under a 90-day non-compete clause with WWE, which means they’re not free to sign with any promotion right now.
Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that for now, there is no deal in place for Gallows and Anderson to make a return to NJPW.
Meltzer also noted that if the world wasn’t dealing with the coronavirus that has prevented NJPW from running shows, “such a deal would be a given as far as getting an offer to return.”
Meltzer speculated that perhaps in the future a deal would be made but it hasn’t for now.
