There is an update on Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
As previously noted, Gallows and Anderson have declined lucrative offers to stay with WWE and they plan on looking at other options when their contracts expire in September. Most people know that they are friends with several people in All Elite Wrestling so that has to be a strong consideration. It’s also well known that AEW plans on putting a big emphasis on tag team wrestling with The Young Bucks heading the division.
Dave Meltzer reported that they have not made a decision on their next move. They will have a better idea of the lay of the land, especially with AEW, by September. I would assume that we will know about AEW’s TV deal by that time.
The fact is that anyone with a contract expiring this year is going to look at their options, especially if they are upper mid-card or top stars. It’s no secret that The Usos deals are coming up soon. AJ Styles’ deal is coming up as well and people expect him to re-sign with WWE but he has not yet signed his contract.
