Adam Cole is among the ex-ROH wrestlers that have not been officially offered contracts by WWE. That does not mean that he is not going there. The reason is because of whatever the legal issues are with WWE in regards to allegations of contract tampering from ROH. WWE is being very careful when they go after ROH wrestlers so there is a waiting period in most cases.
Since last year, the word has been that Cole was likely headed to NXT. He has finished up his commitments with Ring Of Honor and independent promotions and he is not taking bookings. Other names like Kyle O’Reilly, Donovan Dijak, and Bobby Fish are taking bookings and they are expected in WWE so the fact that Cole is no longer taking dates probably means that he is signing sooner than the other guys.
He will probably be pushed as a major star on NXT but it’s worth nothing that Impact Wrestling is also trying to sign him. My guess is that, unless the money from Impact is so good that it would be crazy to turn down, that he is still headed to WWE.
