As most of you know by now, the Impact Wrestling contracts for Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, and Drew Galloway are about to expire. As of this week, they have not signed a new deal. We already know that there is interest from WWE in The Hardys and WWE would be crazy to not go after Galloway, especially since they are looking to expand in the UK.
It’s looking more likely like the Hardys will be staying with Impact Wrestling. They have an option for a guaranteed deal that would give them full control of their bookings outside of the company. There is a higher guaranteed deal being offered but that would allow Impact to approve their outside bookings.
Matt is said to be leaning towards staying with Impact. It seems like staying with Impact makes the most sense because Matt and Jeff would not have full creative control in WWE and a WWE schedule would require them to go on the road full-time. Impact is planning on running house shows again but there’s no way they’d run anything close to the amount of shows that WWE runs in a year.
