Velvet Sky is apparently disputing D-Von Dudley’s version of the story about the split of the Dudley Boys tag team.
As it was noted on Monday, D-Von revealed that he no longer does business with his long-time tag team partner and he wishes him “nothing but the best.”
During the same interview, D-Von said that he and Bubba do not hate each other and are not at odds with each other but they went “different ways like most tag teams do” because they had a difference of opinion around the time when WWE offered them a contract.
D-Von said that their split as business partners ended in 2016 when WWE offered them a contract and Bubba didn’t want to sign it. D-Von said, “They gave us both the contract. I signed it. He didn’t want to sign it and it left a bad taste in their mouth.”
D-Von and Bubba launched the Team 3D Academy in Florida several years ago but these days, D-Von says that he runs his own wrestling school in Florida and Bubba runs his own school in Connecticut, and they “just do things separate now.”
Velvet Sky quote tweeted a link to the story and then tweeted: “Fiction can be fun…. lol if ya’ll only knew the truth. Cuz this ain’t it.”
The tweet was deleted about an hour later. As of this writing, Bubba/Bully Ray has not responded to what was said by D-Von.
