Victoria Crawford (Alicia Fox) On WWE Return: “I Never Say Never… I Would Love To”

Victoria Crawford, known to WWE fans as Alicia Fox, recently joined “The Velvet Ropes with SoCal Val” for an exclusive interview. While Crawford has embarked on a new chapter in TNA Wrestling, she spoke positively about her long tenure with WWE and addressed a potential return following a recent guest appearance at NXT.

When asked by SoCal Val if she could see herself doing more with WWE, Crawford was open to the possibility. “I never say never, as I say, right? I would love to,” she stated.

Crawford explained that her primary motivation for a return would be the opportunity to work with the new generation of talent in NXT. “But why is because of the younger girls that are there, like I was,” she said. “It gives me goosebumps thinking about meeting all the NXT kids that… don’t really know what’s going on, because I related to them so deeply”.

She detailed that connection, noting that many current signees share her experience of entering the company without a traditional wrestling background. “They don’t have wrestling background, they came from a college program right into WWE,” Crawford explained. “I just related so deeply to them”.

That experience of mentoring and relating to the new talent left a strong positive impression on her. “Some of the things they were saying were just youthful, and it just rejuvenated my spirit,” she shared.

Crawford found fulfillment in passing on the knowledge she acquired over her long career. “My ideas started coming out, like there’s girls with long legs. I’m like, ‘Oh yeah, I remember. Fit told me this, I can use my legs or hold'”.

She concluded her thoughts on a return by saying, “So if WWE ever wants me to come back, I would love to, just to be in that zone”.

While Crawford has been candid about her struggles, she also shared several positive memories and reflections on her time with the company. She recalled her main roster debut in 2008 as the wedding planner for Edge and Vicki Guerrero, an opportunity she credits entirely to Guerrero.

“I had ran into Vickie Guerrero,” she said. “From what I were told, they asked her if… there’s anyone developmental she sees, like, playing the role… and she mentioned [me]”.

Crawford called this one of the many “blessings” she received in her career. “I experienced a lot of blessings through wrestling, blessings that just kept getting passed down,” she stated. “I have to give a lot of that credit to how I got chose, because Vickie Guerrero… she just gave, just passed the gift down. So she gave me a shot”.

She also spoke positively about her long-term perspective on the company. “As far as being at WWE for such a duration of time I was I had the opportunity of watching it evolve, too,” she said. “It was funny because it became more of a relationship between me, like Victoria and this company that’s growing that I’m a part of”.

Crawford also recalled the positive side of the locker room camaraderie. “I think at that time I was having so much fun. I felt like I was in a family,” she said.

This sense of family extended to the in-ring work. While discussing her 2018 tailbone injury, she made a point to credit her peers. “I felt as though I’ve had some great matches, and really have been blessed, but I’ve had great opponents, that know how to protect us,” she said. “It’s a real thing. It’s real, real in my heart, how we have to take care of each other”.

When reflecting on her Divas Championship win in 2010, Crawford recalled the moment it truly set in. “For some reason, still photo,” she said. “When I took my first shot with the title… He [the photographer] was like, ‘you want to see it.’… and it hit me there, objectively, like, ‘Whoa. That’s a girl with the chip. Like, that’s me'”.

“This is a real compliment,” she added. “I really was like, Wow. They’re really, they really have some kind of belief in me”.

Finally, when SoCal Val praised her longevity as a “company” person, Crawford agreed. “I feel on the business mind, that was my job, mission completed,” she stated. “Very proud of that walk”. Click below to watch the entire interview.
