Although there have been some past issues between Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Vin Diesel, it appears fans could see them reunite for another Fast & Furious film.
Vin Diesel, who is the main star and producer of the franchise, took to Instagram to publicly call for The Rock to return for the final film. Diesel wrote the following:
"My little brother Dwayne... the time has come. The world awaits the finale of Fast 10. As you know, my children refer to you as Uncle Dwayne in my house. There is not a holiday that goes by that they and you don’t send well wishes... but the time has come. Legacy awaits. I told you years ago that I was going to fulfill my promise to Pablo. I swore that we would reach and manifest the best Fast in the finale that is 10! I say this out of love but you must show up, do not leave the franchise idle you have a very important role to play. Hobbs can’t be played by no other. I hope that you rise to the occasion and fulfill your destiny."
The two stars had a beef with each other while filming The Fate of The Furious movie in 2016. The Rock had an issue with Diesel’s work ethic and showing up late to set. The former WWE Champion took a shot at him on Instagram that led to a heated exchange between the two in Johnson’s trailer. They later met privately several times and patched things up. This was something The Rock addressed earlier this year in an interview.
The future WWE Hall of Famer was featured in Fast Five, Fast & Furious 6, Furious 7, and The Fate of The Furious. He later starred in Hobbs & Shaw, which was a spinoff to the main series of films.
The Rock wasn’t featured in the latest “Fast & Furious” movie, “F9,” that was released earlier this year.
