This week’s episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown kicked off inside of the ThunderDome for the first time and with Vince McMahon welcoming the virtual fans and the fans watching at home.
McMahon was quickly interrupted by “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt, who will face Braun Strowman this Sunday for the WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam. Wyatt and Strowman stood face to face but then Retribution appeared around the ring.
The lights went out and Wyatt disappeared while leaving Strowman in the ring to be attacked by at least two dozen members of Retribution. The WWE roster ran out to help and they were able to clear the ring.
Strowman attacked Drew Gulak and Jey Uso before leaving the ring. The camera made sure to catch The Miz being the last person to arrive to the ring after Retribution was cleared from the area.
