The Rock has set a new record on the 2018 Forbes’ Celebrity 100 List.
The former WWE Champion-turned-Hollywood mega-star has flourished over the past several years in his acting career. He is now, arguably, the biggest movie star in the world. Last year Rock placed 22nd on Forbes’ Celebrity 100 list, hauling in $65 million in earnings.
In 2018 “The Great One” nearly doubled his earnings from June 2017 to June 2018, making $124 million. The list that names the highest-paid entertainers in the world named The Rock the highest-paid actor in the history of the list. Rock took to Twitter to react to the news:
“Wow unexpected news. I don’t have a Harvard MBA, but my business philosophy has been sharpened over time and thru failure. I have one boss I serve and connect with – the world and the people in it. I’m the dude who started w/ $7bucks. I’m awestruck ($124M) grateful & hungry.”

“The Chairman Of The Board” Vince McMahon took to Twitter to offer his congratulations to his former WWE Champion, dubbing him the “hardest working man in show business”:
