Vince McMahon has “soured” on WWE Raw star

Vince McMahon apparently has given up on another WWE star and that’s Shayna Baszler.

Fightful Select reported earlier this week that the only reason known within WWE regarding her status was the fact that she wasn’t injured or sick, but rather just wasn’t being booked on WWE television.

It was previously reported that Baszler was originally supposed to win the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match. This came just a month after she lost to Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Title at WrestleMania.

The idea at the time was Baszler would eventually win the title by having her win the MITB briefcase. However, the WWE Chairman and CEO nixed those plans and went with Asuka.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that “Vince also soured on Baszler completely because he never conceptually grasped the style that an MMA fighter should use in pro wrestling and she doesn’t check his buttons when it comes to women in wrestling, so he made the call to remove her push and take her off television.”

Meltzer added that this was all before Paul Heyman was removed from being the Raw Executive Director. Of course, Heyman wanted to build up younger stars in order to make them future big stars for the company.

As seen since Bruce Prichard has taken over the role, he’s relying on past stars such as Big Show and Ric Flair on Monday Night Raw.
