Vince McMahon: I have made mistakes, I have owned up to every single of them and then moved on

Vince McMahon was on Squawk in the Box with Ari Emmanuel this morning to talk about selling WWE to Endeavor Group, the parent company of the UFC. A new company will be formed where WWE and UFC will merge.

Last summer, McMahon retired as CEO and Chairman amid sexual misconduct and hush money allegations. McMahon later reached a multi-million dollar settlement with Rita Chatterton after she accused McMahon of rape in 1992.

He reportedly felt he had gotten bad advice and wanted to return to the company. After the Board of Directors declined the request, he forced his way back this past January.

During the interview, the allegations were mentioned when asked about his legacy.

“I’ve made mistakes, obviously, personally and professionally through my 15-year career,” McMahon stated. “I’ve owned up to every single one of them and then moved on. I’m not sure of the legacy stuff, I’m not going to write it, I don’t know. I want to say, as someone who had an extraordinary amount of fun, great passion for what they did and wound up doing the biggest deal he’s ever done in his life.”

When asked about securing the intellectual property of his life story and likeness, McMahon stated, “It is what it is.”
