There are 10 matches announced for WWE SummerSlam and the pay-per-view is just a few days away but the card is not finalized. Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Vince McMahon is still considering adding more matches to the show.
Meltzer noted that there’s a meeting scheduled about the show. 10 matches have been announced so far but WWE currently has 11 matches listed internally.
Meltzer said, “I was told by several people in the last couple of days that the card is completely fluid. No one has given me a card … Right now there’s 11 matches [internally] but there could be matches taken away, there could be matches added.”
Meltzer continued, “I don’t expect of the 10 [matches announced] that they will take any away. Drew McIntyre and Cedric Alexander is, as far as I know, still on the card but not announced but who knows. I think Nakamura and Ali is a no. Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan is a no. They are pretty adamant about that.”
As noted earlier, Aleister Black vs. Sami Zayn was going to be added to SummerSlam but that match was pulled from the pay-per-view and was added to this week’s SmackDown Live. Click here for backstage news on why Black vs. Zayn was pulled from SummerSlam.
