It’s unclear if this will be a good or a bad thing but Vince McMahon apparently showed up backstage this afternoon and then ripped up the script.
This is not a surprise to anyone who follows these type of stories because this has happened before but keep in mind that McMahon recently told his investors that he hired Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff because he didn’t want to be “in the weeds” any longer.
For better or for worse, tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live will be written mostly by Vince McMahon.
If he shows that he is out of touch and insists on being hands on, then that might not bode well for the ratings for Raw, SmackDown Live on FOX and possibly NXT on USA.
