Vince McMahon wants to shake up the WWE rosters again

Several weeks ago, the word from WWE was that there no plans for major changes to the rosters when SmackDown moved to FOX but Vince McMahon is apparently changing his mind again.

Dave Meltzer noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that there is a concept for another type of draft to build the Raw and SmackDown rosters.

There aren’t many details available on this new draft concept because they are making sure to keep everything a secret. USA and FOX will be the first to know when the concept is decided on.

In regards to NXT, I wouldn’t be surprised if some current Raw and SmackDown stars were moved to that brand. Several main roster stars have asked in the past to be moved to NXT and were denied. In recent months, Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango) were moved back to NXT because there was nothing for them on the main roster but they were the exception.

Dave Meltzer said that the NXT to USA move was described to him as Paul “Triple H” Levesque’s dream to create a third brand coming true but now he has to play defense to keep Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn’s influence away.

We should know what these new draft plans are soon because NXT will move to USA in a couple of weeks and SmackDown Live will move to FOX in just over a month from now.
