WWE.com caught up with Renee Young after guest announcing Monday Night Raw and she seemed very happy with the work she did.
Young said that she felt really good about everything and Vince McMahon only spoke to her once on the headset, which is a good thing. Michael Cole told her that everything was “awesome.”
We heard from someone backstage and we were told that management was pleased with Young’s work and she will definitely be welcomed back in the future. She was a substitution for Jonathan Coachman this week but hopefully, they can find a permanent role for her going forward because she was a welcome change last night.
Mick Foley quit his announcing gig on Smackdown several years ago because McMahon was constantly in his ear so it’s a great sign that he didn’t feel the need to constantly correct her during the entire broadcast.
