It appears that Vince Russo will be part of a new project that WWE has in the works.
The former WWE creative writer noted on Twitter that the project will likely air on Peacock and the WWE Network. He also noted that he doesn’t have any desire to get a job with the company again, but did put over those who he worked with on the project.
Russo wrote, “Worked with @WWE this past Friday on a Project I think for Peacock. Pleasurable experience, all involved were pros and respectable. I really do hope that those who need to see my comments—see them. While I don’t want a job, I am always looking to help the Biz in any way I can.”
WWE did postpone several projects for the WWE Network earlier this year, but that seems to be changing. WWE will air a new documentary on the SmackDown event that aired just two days after the 9/11 tragedy this week and a new Broken Skull Sessions episode will air later this month.
Russo worked for the company from 1992-1999 before going to WCW. He made a brief return in June 2002, but things didn’t work out and he went to TNA Wrestling. In recent years, he has been a podcaster.
