Wade Barrett names opponent that could tempt him back for one more match

Wade Barrett, real name Stu Bennett, made his WWE return back in August to work as an announcer for NXT.

After two appearances in this role, he ended up signing a full-time deal with the company. The deal is only for him to work as a commentator, but some fans still want to see him wrestle one more match.

While Barrett enjoys his new role with WWE, he does have one goal that he never achieved and that was to be WWE Champion.

During an interview with Digital Spy, the former WWE Intercontinental Champion made it known that he would entertain the idea to come back for one more match or two against WWE Champion Drew McIntyre.

"In truth if I was to come back as a full-time in-ring guy, I really would be chasing the sunset of my career. I don't think there's that many more years left in me. So the question is, what would I want to achieve?

The only thing I didn't achieve in WWE that I always wanted to achieve was to become the WWE Champion, and that title is now held by an old friend of mine, Drew McIntyre. So taking him on for that title is something that certainly might tempt me back for a match or two."

Barrett also talked about how he would want a special entrance from Manic Street Preachers. Check out the full interview here.
