Former WWE NXT North American Champion Adam Cole is preparing for a special match under the WWE banner as the sports entertainment company will air Halftime Heat this Sunday.
This one-off match will take place during the halftime of the Super Bowl on various platforms such as WWE’s streaming service, WWE Network, their YouTube channel, and several social media accounts.
This year’s Super Bowl will see the New England Patriots take on the Los Angeles Rams. Cole is slated to team up with Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa to take on Aleister Black, Velveteen Dream, and Ricochet in a six-man tag team match.
To promote this match, Cole spoke with TMZ Sports where he talked about being outraged that he’s not the NXT Champion.
“I’m a guy who feels like I should be I should be a champion at NXT. I think it’s an outrage that I’m not,” Cole stated. “We have guys on the opposing team who feel they are in the front of the line. When it comes to the front of the line, that’s all Adam Cole.”
Speaking of Cole, he recently wrestled Kevin Owens to help Owens get ready for his return to the ring. Owens has slimmed down and seems motivated as we get closer to his in-ring return. Click here for more and you can watch the entire interview with Adam Cole by clicking on the player below:
