WATCH: Alexa Bliss on becoming a two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion, WrestleMania 33, more

WWE SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss appeared on Wednesday’s edition of Off The Top Rope on ESPN’s SportsCenter to talk to Jonathan Coachman about WWE.

When asked about becoming a two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion, Bliss said that she has always known that she deserved to be the champion and that the women on SmackDown have dominated the WWE women’s division. She noted that their whole division is on fire right now and that nothing else can compare to the blue brand. She praises Sara Amato (Sara Del Rey) for helping her grow over the past three and half years. She brought up that she told Amato on her first day in NXT that she has no idea what she was doing and needed help. Amato told her that it’s a sprint and not a marathon. Bliss noted that she owes so much to Amato, who has helped her in so many ways and then mentioned that she watched WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus growing up. She added that she’s tried to model some of her styles after Stratus.

Coachman asked her about a life-threatening eating disorder she overcame. Bliss noted that she was diagnosed and told by doctors that she was 24 hours away from dying. After she was hospitalized, she wasn’t allowed to sleep because they feared that she would go into cardiac arrest. She noted that she went through two episodes with it before fighting through it and overcoming it. She noted that the reason she is open about it is due to her seeing girls on TV asking what’s wrong with them. She wants to be the person to tell them that she is 5 foot and got a thick body but she loves who she is and is okay with her appearance. She added that you have to know your life means more than a number on a scale.

Regarding WrestleMania 33 in April, she said that it’s going to be amazing to walk into the event as the champion. She noted that she would have her family there as they’re from Orlando and plans on ending this year as champion.

Bliss thanked ESPN for having her on the show and this wrapped up the segment.
