WATCH: Brian Kendrick on returning to WWE, wrestling TJ Perkins, more

Brian Kendrick spoke with Michael Cole for the weekly WWE.com interview. Kendrick talked about his return to the company after being released several ago.

Cole brought up Kendrick being a coach at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida as well as him wrestling a few times in NXT, which opened the door for his return to the company. Kendrick explained that he was running a wrestling school in California and connected with WWE NXT GM William Regal.

Kendrick reflected on his run in the Cruiserweight Classic, which aired on the WWE Network, and his final match in the tournament concluding with him and Daniel Bryan in the ring. Kendrick stated that at the time of the moment, he felt like that could have been his last chance in WWE.

Now, Kendrick is on the main roster on the RAW brand and is challenging TJ Perkins for the Cruiserweight Title at this Sunday’s Clash of Champions pay-per-view event after winning the fatal 4-way on RAW. He said hearing Perkins’ name disgusts him. Kendrick vowed to win the title at Clash of Champions.
