WATCH: Chael Sonnen says WWE offered him $5 million to bring UFC title to Raw, $1 million to no-show Anderson Silva fight

Former UFC and Bellator title contender Chael Sonnen spoke with ESPN’s Ariel Helwani to promote his upcoming light heavyweight showdown against former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Lyoto Machida at this Friday’ Bellator 222 event on DAZN.

During the interview, Sonnen reflected on when WWE offered him $5 million to show up on WWE Raw with the UFC title or $1 million to no-show his rematch against former UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva.

This would've been in 2012. When Sonnen asked as to why WWE would want him to do this, the response was “to stick it up Dana White’s A**.” He didn’t do it or even tell UFC President Dana White about it.

Over the years, White has spoken highly about Vince McMahon as they have worked together for deals to see their talent appear on their programs. Obviously, it didn’t happen with Sonnen but what a scene it would’ve been if it did happen.
