Daniel Bryan was in the ring for almost the entire Greatest Royal Rumble match on Friday. It was an epic performance and he now holds the record for the longest time in a Royal Rumble match at 1 hour and 16 minutes. That number shattered Rey Mysterio’s 1 hour and 2-minute record that was set in 2006.
If you weren’t paying close attention then you probably had a hard time figuring out where those marks came from on Bryan’s chest. In the video below, Bryan named NXT Superstar Roderick Strong as the culprit.
Bryan told WWE.com that he wasn’t tired towards the end of the match and he had fun. He said, “This is from Roderick Strong. I haven’t wrestled Roderick Strong since 2009 and the first thing he does is blister my chest. I like that kind of competition.” He said that those chops fired him up.
Going forward, Bryan will begin a full-time schedule on house shows beginning with the show on Monday night in Ottawa, Canada.
