Roman Reigns, WWE Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch, Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, and UFC Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier were all in attendance for this year’s ESPY Awards that took place on Wednesday night.
At the ceremony, Reigns won Best WWE Moment while Cormier won Best MMA Fighter. ESPN has released a video of Cormier talking about his fight with Brock Lesnar not happening in the UFC and that he could follow Lesnar to WWE for the fight.
Cormier stated, “I was hoping to fight Brock Lesnar, but he didn’t. These guys took him from me. Maybe I’ll follow him over there.” Triple H chimed in with, “It’s not too late.” Cormier responded with, “Yeah, we can do it in WWE.”
While it was in a joking manner, Cormier is a big pro wrestling fan and if WWE offered him big money, anything is possible. You can watch the entire interview by clicking on the player below:
Back in April, it was revealed that Lesnar was retiring from competition and won’t attempt a comeback. This was a change in plans for the promotion as they had been trying to get a fight done between the two fighters.
