Dolph Ziggler made some interesting comments while doing an interview with Alex McCarthy of Talk Sport.
A video of the interview was released on Saturday where Ziggler talked about his match with Goldberg and how he nearly quit the company over the way that they had the match laid out.
Ziggler lost to Goldberg in quick fashion at the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view event in Toronto, Ontario at the Scotiabank Arena in August.
Fast forward to September, Goldberg and Ziggler got fans talking when they had a confrontation at Andiamo Italian Steakhouse in Las Vegas.
At the time, the belief was that the two stars did the angle to get fans talking, which they achieved that goal.
According to Ziggler, WWE wanted to have a similar finish as Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar at Summerslam where Goldberg squashed Lesnar within a minute.
“They go, ‘it’s going to be a bell, spear, pin. I go c’mon man. I fought all day long, threatened to leave, threatened to quit and said give me two damn minutes. I got one minute, but whatever.”
