WATCH: Elayna Black ‘Kills Off’ Cora Jade Character In New Vignette

Elayna Black, formerly known as Cora Jade in WWE, has signaled the end of her old persona in a new vignette posted to social media. The video was released shortly after she competed in her first match since her WWE release, which took place on Saturday, June 14.

Making her return to the independent circuit, Black was in action at a Pro Wrestling REVOLVER event. Following the match, she shared a cryptic video that showed her symbolically “killing off” the Cora Jade character that made her famous in NXT. The vignette featured imagery of her signature skateboard being broken and other memorabilia associated with her WWE gimmick being destroyed, ending with the message “The Generation of Jade is dead.”

As Cora Jade in NXT, she was a prominent figure during the “2.0” era, capturing the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship and becoming one of the brand’s top heels. Her abrupt release from WWE in May 2025 came as a surprise to many fans.
