WWE fans were clearly hoping to see former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch have a redemption moment after losing to current WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka in the opener of the main card of the WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view event.
Once Lana limped down to the ring as she sold an ankle injury, “The Man” walked out and convinced WWE agent Fit Finlay to put her in the Women’s Royal Rumble Match as Lana’s replacement.
This is where she would go and win this match in order to secure her a championship match at WrestleMania 35 in a few months. An Ireland bar full of Lynch supporters went nuts when they watched the SmackDown star win the contest.

Lynch will have her choice to go after one of the top titles in the company whether that be the Raw Women’s Title, which is held by Ronda Rousey, or WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka. Time will tell what she decides to do but for the past few months, she has talked about her desire to headline Mania against Rousey.
