WATCH: First trailer for The Rock’s “Black Adam” film released

The first official trailer for the anticipated “Black Adam” film starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been released.

The film is directed by Jaume Collett-Serra and also stars Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fatte, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, and Sarah Shahi as Adrianna Tomaz.

The synopsis reads like the following: "Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the ancient gods—and imprisoned just as quickly—Black Adam (Johnson) is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world."

The film was originally slated to be released on December 22, 2021, but it was pushed back due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The movie now is set to be released on October 21, 2022.
