WWE has carried the Kevin Owens-Chris Jericho storyline over to the live events. Jericho is selling the beating he took from Owens during the “Festival Of Friendship” segment by coming out to the live events on crutches. At Saturday’s live event in Germany, Jericho came out to cut a promo in front of the live crowd. He was reading something from his “list” but was interrupted by Owens. Owens sneak attacked Jericho and beat him up with the crutch before hitting him with a powerbomb.
The WWE website posted a clip of the beating and they teased that Owens could suffer “fallout” for his actions. As we’ve noted before, Kevin Owens vs. Chris Jericho will finally take place at WrestleMania in Orlando. But first, Owens must defend the WWE Universal Championship against Goldberg a week from Sunday at WWE Fastlane.
