WATCH: Kurt Angle teases in-ring return

Kurt Angle sent out a very interesting video on his Twitter account on Saturday morning that has fans speculating as to what it could mean.

The video, which has no caption, sees Angle lace up his wrestling boots, put on his ring attire, various t-shirts shown, and then ending with him having a very intense look on his face. Until he explains the video or an announcement is made, it appears that he is teasing an in-ring return.

The WWE Hall of Famer had his last pro wrestling match at WrestleMania 35 when he lost to Baron Corbin. He then transitioned into being a backstage producer.

Angle is no longer under contract with WWE as he was furloughed by the company due to budget cuts related to the COVID-19 pandemic. He was offered a role to be Matt Riddle’s manager when he was first called up to SmackDown, but Angle turned down the offer. While out of the pro wrestling business, he’s gotten into some great shape.

He has been working on his nutrition company and recently launched the Kurt Angle Show podcast with Conrad Thompson. It should be noted that Angle has been critical of how his last WWE run ended but did make the call himself to retire.

With AEW teasing a “Hall of Fame-worthy” talent signing at Sunday’s Revolution pay-per-view event, there will be speculation about whether he will be revealed as the signee.
