WATCH: Mark Henry makes bold prediction about how many people could watch WrestleMania 36

WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry recently did an interview with TMZ Sports where he made an extremely bold claim regarding the reach of WrestleMania 36.

The two-night event could be the most-watched United States sporting event, according to the legendary pro wrestler. He thinks it could be watched by 200 million viewers.

Clearly, that’s not likely considering that it’s behind a paywall. WWE is giving fans the option to pay for the event on PPV and watch it on the WWE Network.

The most-watched sporting event in the history of the United States was Super Bowl XLIX, which reportedly attracted 114 million. It was second to the moon landing with an estimated 125-150 million tuning in.

These events were available on network television. Henry brought up the successful IG Live DJ set by D-Nice that was watched by 90,000 people.

“I think 20 years from now, we’ll talk about this moment in history and it will be like ‘hey man, the only thing that was on television during that time was pro wrestling.”

“What can WrestleMania do, two days?! Livestreaming and watching a network?! That could be 200 MILLION people watching,” Henry later added.
