The days of Matt Hardy portraying his Woken character appear to be over and instead, a new gimmick presented by the future WWE Hall of Famer is in full transition.
As seen on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live in Charlotte, NC at the Spectrum Center on the USA Network, Matt returned to in-ring action to team up with Jeff Hardy to take on former WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Bar (Sheamus & Cesaro) in a tag team match.
Hardy released this video on his YouTube channel where he described the character as “multifarious” Matt Hardy. This is where he would talk about how fans are “looking at a redefined Matt Hardy, a multifarious Matt Hardy that is comprised of many different elements.” This is where he detailed his current mindset by noting that it will incorporate many of his past personalities.
At the end of the video, he vowed that alongside his brother, Jeff Hardy, they will prove they’re the best tag team of all-time and are going for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles.
